Setup Instructions for MediCap:
- MediCap works on following operation system:
*Windows XP (Home Edition, Professional Edition, Media Center Edition, Server 2003) 
**Windows Vista (All editions)
*Service Pack 2 (SP2) should be properly installed.
**For Windows Vista Installations:
A problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
The name of the computer that is running Windows Vista consists of lowercase characters or of a mixture of lowercase characters and uppercase characters. For example, the name of the computer resembles the following name: Workstation-1
Please rename the computer name before the installation (ex: WORKSTATION-1)
- Double click setup.exe in that folder
If the following items are not installed previously to your system, MediCap installs them. Please accept to install.
1. Crystal Report for Net
2. Windows Installer 3.1
3. Net Framework 2.0
After these installations are completed, MediCap installation starts. After the installation of MediCap, double click on it’s shortcut in desktop. MediCap uses Microsoft SQL 2005 Express Edition. Therefore click OK to accept the installation. Installation will automatically continue and will be completed. MediCap uses “ffdshow video encoder” for video compression. Please OK to install it.
- Connection of your medical devices with MediCap
To connect the MediCap to the medical devices (USG, echocardiography, endoscopy devices, colposcopy, microscopes etc.) you need 2 items:
1) A capture card or a TV card properly installed to your system (You should select this device, preferred video size and analog video standard (PAL/SECAM etc.) from video-audio-image capture unit)
2) S-video (preferred) or Composite cable (depends on your medical device’s capabilities)
Note: If you want to connect MediCap with DV or HD camcorders, just connect your device to the computer (Firewire or USB). (You should select this device, preferred video size from video-audio-image capture unit)
3. MediCap for Commercial Use is network enabled. But default installation connects to local computer. If you want MediCap for Commercial Use to connect remote computer you should click Tools-Server Connection Setting-Connect remote (server) computer and enter the name of computer you want to connect in LAN.
4. MediCap for Personal Use is not network enabled. It can only connects to local computer. But it has all features of Commercial type except network property.
Setup Instructions for ScreenCap and Calendar-Appointment: - ScreenCap and Calendar-Appointment works on following operation system:
Windows XP (Home Edition, Professional Edition, Media Center Edition, Server 2003)
Windows Vista (All editions)
- Double click setup.exe in that folder
If the following items are not installed previously to your system, please accept to install.
1. Net Framework 2.0 Setup Instructions for OBGYN Calculations: OBGYN Calculations works on SmartPhones running Windows Mobile 5 and 6 (WM5 may need Microsoft .NET Compact Framework v2 SP2) Please download and unzip OBGYNCalculations.rar in your PC. Then copy OBGYNSmartPhone.cab file to your phone using Microsoft ActiveSync and click on it.
