Setup instructions for MediCap v2.0

MediCap v2.0 works on Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/2008 or Windows 7 (32 Bit or 64 Bit).

Double click on MediCapCommercial.exe to install MediCap v2.0

If the following items are not installed previously to your system, MediCap installs them. Please accept to install.
1. Crystal Report for Net
2. Windows Installer 3.1 
3. Net Framework 2.0 

After these installations are completed, MediCap 2.0 installation starts. After the installation of MediCap, double click on it’s shortcut which is on desktop. MediCap uses Microsoft SQL 2005 Express Edition. Therefore click OK to accept the installation. Installation will automatically continue and will be completed. MediCap 2.0 uses “ffdshow video encoder” for video compression. Please accept to install it and click Next in every step.

· Connection of your medical devices with MediCap v2.0

To connect MediCap v2.0 to the medical devices (Video endoscopy, arthroscopy, USG, echocardiography, endoscopy devices, colposcopy, microscopes etc.) you need 2 items:
1) A capture card or a TV card properly installed to your system (You should select this device, preferred video size and analog video standard (PAL/SECAM etc.) from video-audio-image capture unit)
2) S-video (preferred) or Composite cable (depends on your medical device’s capabilities)

Note: If you want to connect MediCap with DV or HD camcorders, just connect your device to the computer (Firewire or USB). (You should select this device, preferred video size from video-audio-image capture unit)
